Should You Have Multiple Family Computers?
Having multiple laptops in your household is great, especially in times like these when everyone is on the computer 24/7. But there are some bad things about having so many computers.
A pro of having multiple computers is that you don’t have to wait for one person to be done with their work day for you to do your school work, or whatever you might do on the computer. You can just go get your own laptop and do whatever you need, whenever you want.
A con is that computers are very expensive. Depending on what kind of computer you get, they can cost from $700 to $1,200. Spending thousands of dollars just on computers isn’t what most people would want.
Another pro is that storage isn’t taken up by other peoples stuff. For example, if your brother is a musician, and he likes to make music on the computer, that takes up a lot of space. You need storage on your computer for all of your things, not other peoples.
The last con is that WiFi can be expensive, and you sometimes can run out of it. WiFi can be as much as $50 per month. That's $600 a year! That’s crazy!
In conclusion I think having multiple computers in your household is probably a good idea. They may be expensive, but you won’t regret it.

Great info! There are definitely a few things to consider before getting multiple computers for your house! Like you said you have to think about cost versus convenience.... and I agree with you that it makes life easier to have more than one computer in the house!

DeleteI agree that it is a good idea to have multiple family computers. I don't know what my family would do if we had only one computer! Nearly everyone in my house has a computer, which is good, because we have to use them a lot. My house has a lot of WiFi because we use our computers a lot. Do you have an opinion on whether you should get a lot of WiFi or a little?
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion you should get a lot of WiFi because slow internet is a big pain in the neck, and if you have a slow internet then you can't hear your teacher on zoom or in your meeting for work.
